The Need
Confronted with numerous technological hurdles, Bright Nutrition sought to overhaul their software system to enhance operational efficiency and boost user satisfaction. The outdated legacy system not only hindered daily productivity but also impeded the achievement of strategic objectives. Below are some of the challenges they encountered.
Obselete Technology
The current legacy system was creating substantial inefficiencies in operations.
High Administrative Burden
Time-consuming paperwork and manual processes were draining valuable time and resources.
Employee Frustration
The sluggish and non-user-friendly software was causing frustration among employees and affiliated centers.
We crafted a strategy that removed obstacles and set a new benchmark for software efficiency and user satisfaction. By integrating compliance education into the user journey, we empowered centers to stay informed about core CACFP rules.
Digitize Processes
Increase efficiency and productivity by replacing paper-based workflows for onboarding children into CACFP.
Boost Employee Satisfaction
Implement a user-friendly solution to simplify operations.
Enhance Market Competitiveness
Create advanced software to position Bright Nutrition as an industry leader.
The Solution
We initiated the project with an in-depth discovery phase, immersing ourselves in Bright Nutrition's operations to understand their needs from the end-user perspective. Regular discussions with their team and on-site visits for shadowing were crucial in developing software that would effectively address their challenges.
During this phase, we focused on thoroughly understanding the client's issues, addressing software problems, and leveraging existing tools and apps. This approach ensured cost-effective solutions and responsible use of the client’s budget, ultimately leading to a transformative upgrade for Bright Nutrition.

User Friendly Interfaces (MUI)
Utilizing industry-standard Material Design, our software features an intuitive interface that enhances user interaction. This design approach ensures a seamless experience for Bright Nutrition employees and affiliated centers, making navigation and task completion more straightforward and accessible.

Efficiency and User Experience:
Our software is built on a modern tech stack that prioritizes speed and productivity, enabling users to efficiently generate and access data within the system.

Innovative Problem Solving
We approached problem-solving with a focus on user experience (UX), creating solutions that help the center and sponsors better understand CACFP rules and avoid violations.

Embedded Compliance Education
Integrated compliance education into the user journey, empowering centers to stay informed about core CACFP rules.
Enhanced Error Handling
Improved legacy software error handling by 80%.

Streamlined Features
Replaced the excessive features of the legacy software with an easy-to-use app
User Centric Success — Iterative Collaboration
The culmination of our collaboration resulted in a meticulously crafted product that not only captured the hearts of its users but also made substantial strides in ensuring children's nutrition compliance with state standards. This project's success was rooted in a methodology that seamlessly integrated insightful discovery with user-centric development, accompanied by continuous refinement.
Through ongoing user testing, we iteratively refined and enhanced the features, ensuring that each version of the product better met user needs and expectations. Furthermore, consistent feedback from users positioned the software to evolve and adapt in response to their evolving requirements.
